About the project
This bas had a serious neck dive issue, being a 6-string with a very thick neck, the bass was neck-heavy. A common fix for this is to add weight at the bottom of the strap, but I didn't wan the bass to be heavier than it already is. I designed a custom-fit horn screwed tight in place, to move the strap attachment point past the bass' center of mass. The result is that the bass now stays in a steady position.
I also printing a decal on a thin sheet of PLA, printed with a 0.2mm nozzle for fine details. I engraved it in the slicer with a SVG texture, about 3 layers deep, and paused the print before detailing the engraving so I could swap filament and get a 2-color look.
